Lighthouse and boats

This is my new piece, just finished, Lighthouse and Boats.

I have been trying to decide for a while now whether or not to frame them . Usually i attach rods to the back so that they can be hung that way, but i thought putting them in a frame would set them off better, so after much deliberation and advice from various people(thanks Jane) i have decided to frame them. Just a plain white frame, because they are fabric and quilted i think they need to be touched so no glass!

I think it looks good ,yes?

Wow!! The frame sets it off really well. Glass would prevent one from seeing the work you put into it.

My lucky sister is moving to Portloe. One of us girls is living the dream.......maybe the other one will follow soon!!

yes i think it looks great - and people often value things in frames more - I don't know why- having seen your detail I was amazed to realise that it was all hand quilted - so lovely

Looks gorgeous in the white frame! I love the way the quilted stitches seem to radiate out of the sun. You are so talented. Do you sew those by hand or machine?

I agree, I think it looks batter framed. I have framed some of mine and not others and the framed ones are always more popular. Out of interest how do you decide what you charge for your picture? I take a random guess with mine and think I sell them too cheaply.I would love your thoughts on this.
