New work

Wow, April was my last post, oops! But I have been very busy. We've had The Torch, The Jubilee and half term and I have no photos of any of it unfortunately because I have a new notebook and all my photos are still on my laptop, I haven't got around to sorting them out yet. So I have these new photos of my recent work.

I thought I would have ago at some minature pieces of art, so made these little aceo size works. They measure just 3.5" x 2.5" and are backed with medium weight card, they are rather sweet and don't take too long to make. I made a collection of 3 beach themed pieces and then made a little boat one.

This piece is a larger hanging. I have been faffing around alot with fabric and dyes and stamps and all sorts of lovely things, melting and generally altering fabrics, its alot of fun. This piece includes alot of those techniques.

And finally these little quirky houses inspired by the fishermans cottages here in St. Ives, they are all handstitched and each one has a real St. Ives shell stitched on, they also have a hanging loop.
All these items are available in my Etsy shop.

So beautiful as ever. I love it when a new post form you pops up in my side bar! Are you available for a meet up in early August when the rain will have stopped and the temperature will be unbearably hot!? Let me know.

Wonderful, love your houses, bet you can't wait for St Ives to get busy, Our town has just emptied and is much more peaceful now the students have gone!
