At last, I'm a Hooker!!!!!!!

I have wanted to Crochet for ages, but everytime I gave it a go it went wrong and I lost patience with it. I really, really wanted to make the ripple pattern that Lucy from Attic 24 has a tutorial for. Oh, I tried and I tried, but just couldn't get the gist of it! I wanted a lovely bright colourful blanket for my own! So, I perservered and mastered the Treble Crochet stitch and so thought I could make a whole blanket using that one stitch, YAY!! And so I treated myself to a bumper bundle of yarn and away I went and am still going, and whats more I still have the same number of stitches I started with, amazing! One day I shall master that Ripple Pattern, how hard can it be really, but for now I am soooooooo happy with my simple Treble Blanket.

There it is, each stripe is 2 rows and the colours are a tad brighter than the photo, its going to be quite big, its folded up in the picture. I am loving doing it, makes a change from knitting and its something I can just pick up and put down whenever, you know between sewing projects and when you've just got ten minutes here and there, although I find it quite hard to put down once I start!!

Wishing you all a happy creative week

Journal pages and a new house

Remember my fabric art journal I showed you in my last post, well these will be some of the pages for it, great fun to make, like mini quilts!

 Lots more to add yet.

I've made the eye of the lady above to peek through the window of the journal cover!

I bought this Christmas tin of biscuits, just because of the lovely houses on the front and the fact I can use it to store lots of stitchy bits and bobs, oh, and it was half price!!

And said lovely houses have inspired me to make a new Enchanted Christmas Art House, pictures to follow when finished.

Have a good week y'all!!

Fabric Art Journal.... the shape of a house, (you know me and my houses!!!), with a little window.

It has a spine ready for the pages to be created and sewn in.
And plenty of room for more embellishment!

Enjoy your week xxxx

Another day, another doodle

Do you doodle? I doodle all the time, when I'm on the phone, when I'm watching t.v, sitting at the kitchen table. Most of my doodles end up in the bin, mainly because they are on scraps of paper or old envelopes. This book I found after my Mum died, it had never been used so Dad said I could keep it, it's blank sheets not lined, ideal!
So, said book has been allocated for doodling!!!

So you can have a peek at my doodles, lots of flowers, hearts and a few little houses!
I do love little houses!!

Did you notice little yappy dog in the book, well, here he is!

Enjoy the rest of your week xx
